Barker in the Great Southern wine region of Western
Australia. The area is noted particularly for its sheep,
cattle, wildflowers and wine and is in some of the most
picturesque and unspoiled countryside in WA. |

Barker is an ideal holiday centre with ample shopping and
recreation facilities for you and your family.
While relaxing at Hayrocks why not sample the
pleasures of our region that are within easy reach. You
might care to drive to the spectacular southern coastline
and the towns of Albany and Denmark or take in the
Stirling Range National Park, covering 115,671 hectares,
with its many walking trails, wildlife and wildflowers.
The Porongurup Ranges, the oldest volcanic range in the
world, has easy walking trails & BBQs. |

walking distance of Hayrocks is the historic St Werburgh's Chapel, as well as
Pattersons and Merrebee wineries. There are more than 30
wineries located within the Shire of Plantagenet and
advice on cellar door opening times of all wineries can
be provided with pleasure by Alison and Michael. |

outdoor BBQ while drinking some of the region's
magnificent wines. The Great Southern wine region is
Australia's largest covering close to 1000 square
kilometres.
Our guest dining room has TV, video and a selection of
videos, a CD player and tape player for your
entertainment outside meal times. Tea, coffee and
biscuits are available as well as a toaster, kettle and
fridge for those in-between snacks.
