Frangipanni Bed & Breakfast is centrally located in a suburban street of Rapid Creek, one of Darwin’s longest established Northern Suburbs. Your hosts, Peg and Des Gellert look forward to greeting you in their traditional B&B.

Accommodation :

Singles, couples or families/groups of up to 5 people sharing the same bedroom

Private access to a clean, fresh tropical-style room and bathroom beneath our family’s elevated home

Bedroom contains a double bed and 2 single beds (bunks) with an extra bed (trundle), or cot. Air conditioned and overhead fan

Covered breezeway where continental breakfast of cereal, toast, yoghurt & fruit juice is served (home grown mangos in season

Guests have access to fridge, laundry and gas BBQ, tea and coffee making facilities, clock radio and remote control TV. Also there are ironing and laundry facilities available for guests use

Arriving at the airport? From the Darwin Airport, Frangipanni Bed & Breakfast is centrally located in a suburban street of Rapid Creek, one of Darwin’s longest established Northern Suburbs. Only 5 minutes drive from the International Airport and about 10-15 minutes from the Darwin CBD.

Activities

Frangipanni B& B is centrally located to all the major tourist attractions in Darwin. Take a bus or drive to see the Smith St Mall in downtown Darwin, visit historic Stokes Hill Wharf, see Aboriginal art and the Cyclone Tracey display at the Darwin Museum and Art Gallery or take a harbour cruise to view Darwin from a quite different perspective

Enjoy dinner at one of Darwin's many fine international cuisine restaurants located throughout the city and suburbs of Darwin

Make sure you go to the Mindil Beach Night Markets every Thursday evening in the dry season where you can experience clothing stalls and Asian and European hawker style cuisine representative of the many ethnic and cultural groups that live in Darwin

We are only five minutes walk from the Rapid Creek shopping centre with a small supermarket, take-away food, a laundrette and bakery

On Sunday morning visit the Nightcliff market from 8am and experience alfresco brunch at its best from the many hawker stalls

Other Attractions

We are only a short distance from the Nightcliff Swimming Pool and the Darwin Water Gardens. Frangipanni B & B is on the major bus routes of Darwin

Close by is the Casuarina Square shopping mall, Darwin's premier shopping centre

For those wishing to venture further afield the possibilities are endless. Visit Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, Berry Springs, Howard Springs, Adelaide River or take an overnight trip to Katherine Gorge.
