Hartzview Vineyard , Wine Centre, & Homestead is a family business established, owned and operated by Robert and Anthea Patterson situated only 45 minutes easy drive south of Hobart in the beautiful region of Tasmania's Huon Valley. The Homestead is fully self-contained luxury accommodation and guests have "Exclusive Use"- there is no sharing.

The fully self-contained Homestead is a reconstruction built in the late Victorian, early federation style, and is enjoyed by honeymoon couples or families of up to six in the three bedrooms.

The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated with superb furnishings and selected antiques.

Continental Breakfast provisions are included with daily freshly baked bread and local jams.

Dinner is also provided by prior arrangement as many guests don't want to go out once they arrive at this special haven.

Facilities include car parking, dining room, BBQ facilities, laundry, heating, colour TV and Videos, a fully equipped kitchen, all appliances and linen.

Location

Hartzview Vineyard, Wine Centre and Homestead is situated only 45 minutes easy drive south of Hobart in the beautiful region of Tasmania's Huon Valley.

Situated at Gardners Bay (near Cygnet) this rural retreat is a wonderful way to spend a few days unwinding. An ideal base to take day trips to D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Huon valley or Bruny Island.

Watch for the signs at both ends of "Cross Roads", joining Nichols Rivulet Road (C626) and Woodbridge Hill Road (C627).

Activities

Hartzview offers a wide range of wine, fruit port, mead and liqueur products for tasting and sale at the cellar door.
The wine centre is also an outlet for up to twelve other Tasmanian vineyards. Smaller vineyards that do not have the capital to have there own cellar door sales outlets. These wines are often made by a contract winemaker, thus ensuring the quality of the wine made.

The fully self-contained luxury accommodation offers the opportunity to experience the tranquillity of the area.

The many picturesque bush walks on the property provide the perfect retreat for those wishing to unwind

The area offers a large variety of attractions including wood turners, craft shops, wildlife park, jet boating, trout fishing, caves, wilderness walks, museums, Hartz national park and an endless panorama of views

Anthea says you can "hear the stillness, smell the freshness of the air, be captivated by the unpolluted beauty of vineyard slopes to the Hartz mountains, and then at night relax in front of the log fire whilst enjoying a glass of Fine Tasmanian Wine."
