The House at Mount Prior Bed and Breakfast in the famous Rutherglen Wine Region of Victoria overlooks 100 acres of vines with award winning Durifs, Shiraz and Chardonnays. As well as B & B, We can cater for groups from 2 to 70 guests for intimate weddings family gatherings or corporate functions.

Accommodation :

The house has five lovely rooms. Four large rooms feature marble fireplaces,
16 foot high ceilings and antique furnishings. All rooms have queen size beds, electric blankets and feather doonas.

The Champagne room has a walk-in dressing room, ensuite and bath.

The Chardonnay and Shiraz rooms have private bathrooms.

Two cottage style rooms, the Courtyard and Orchard rooms are located in the original servants' quarters of yesteryear and overlook the rose garden and orchard.

The dining area, although formal in presentation, is again classic in style yet comfortable.

Rutherglen is one of the oldest wine producing regions in Australia. Traditionally famous for its Red Wines today Rutherglen produces fine white wines as well as popular and contemporary flavoured red wines. Visit Mount Prior and enjoy this wonderful local produce.

Take a trip back in time as you visit Wahgunyah and see the old Customs house and learn of the early pioneer days of this river border area, its association with trade and the Goldfields.

Choose an exhilarating early morning balloon ride or enjoy a bike ride around the wineries of the region

Visit the many antique stores and galleries and see the many beautifully restored Federation homes in Rutherglen and nearby Corowa

A short distance away is historic Beechworth a classified gold town and on the Murray River Yarrawonga offers recreation facilities such as fishing, swimming and yachting.
