Killynaught Spa Cottages & Apartments is set amidst the rich farmland of the North West Coast of Tasmania, with an outlook across the fields to the waters of Bass Strait. Choose your own romantic heritage style Cottage or superbly restored Federation Suite, all with blazing open fire and large double spa bath.

  • Choose from five individually designed romantic cosy cottages recently built in heritage style
  • Each cottage has a corner double spa bath, blazing open fire, and charming antiques, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, colour television, and antique Queen size brass and iron beds.
  • Choose a one bedroom cottage (Perfect for Honeymooners) or a two bedroom cottage for the family.

 Killynaught Spa Apartments:

  • The most recent addition to the Killynaught collection 
  • Built at the end of the 1800's as a Family Home, now fully restored into two separate and private self contained apartments each with its own entrance.
  • Of course you may book the entire homestead comprising the Suite and Executive Apartment.

 Full Federation Homestead:

  • A most spacious choice of outstanding quality - Federation living was never this good! 
  • Perfect for groups of up to eight adults (four couples). Have the entire homestead to yourselves, including the two spa bathrooms three bedrooms with Queen bed and extra room with quality innerspring double sofa bed. 
  • There is a very spacious lounge and dining room, and a well equipped kitchen with electric wall oven and gas hot plates. 
  • Full laundry with washing machine and dryer.

 We are on the Bass Highway 1 hour west of the Devonport Ferry Terminal or 2 hours west of Launceston

 Ideally, make Killynaught your base for a few days - unpack and relax!  We are just a few minutes drive to the sparkling blue waters and glistening white sand of Boat Harbour Beach.
 Local Attractions:
  • Within 10 minutes :
    Magnificent Boat Harbour Beach - 5 minutes Table Cape headland - scenic drive through a patchwork of fields - see the tulips in spring.
    Fossil Bluff at Wynyard - 30 million years of history. Burnie/Wynyard Airport, Rocky Cape National Park - aboriginal caves and wildflower walks.
  • Within 35 minutes :
    Historical town of Stanley - take the chairlift to the top of the spectacular Nut. Inspect Highfield House
  • 1 hour 30 minutes :
    Cradle Mountain & Arthur River Boat Cruise
 Choice of QUALITY RESTAURANTS (licensed and BYO) at nearby Boat Harbour Beach and Wynyard.

  Other Attractions

 One of the many delightful day trips is along the coast through the North-West's rich farmland to experience the majestic underground limestone caves at Gunns Plains and on to the Leven Canyon to view the canyon 350 meters below. Or you may prefer to head for Sheffield and view the dozens of unique murals in this quaint country town in the foothills of imposing Mount Roland. Return through our local town of Wynyard, visit the Lighthouse standing guard over the unique headland of Table Cape and stop at lookout. During spring no visit to Wynyard is complete without visiting the riot of colour at the Table Cape Tulip Farm.
