Litten House Bed & Breakfast, an attractive Georgian/Victorian house in central Chichester is close to the civic centre with its shops, hostelries and restaurants as well as the renowned Festival Theatre.   The Romans invaded south east England in AD 43 and founded Chichester almost immediately. This small city has a Norman cathedral, and a preponderance of fine Georgian houses.

Accommodation
Large double room: A large room with convertible Super-Kingsize bed. The room has air conditioning and triple glazed windows
Double room: sleep on a Victorian brass double bedstead and walk out on the balcony to have breakfast shaded by a magnolia tree.
Twin room: an attractive twin room overlooking the garden.
the accommodation rooms are not ensuite but there is a large shower room, a bathroom with toilet and bidet, and another separate toilet
each room has its own washbasin, TV., radio, hospitality tray, hot water bottles, and books to read.
full English or Continental breakfast (with home made jams and freshly baked bread) are served in the breakfast room, in the conservatory or, weather permitting, in the garden.
Litten House offers spacious accommodation for non-smokers.

Litten House Bed and Breakfast is close to the city centre with its shops, hostelries and restaurants as well as the renowned Festival Theatre. The scenic coastline and the hills of the South Downs give the place a special flavour.
Litten House in St Pancras is approx. 100 metres from East Street, within easy walking distance of bus and train stations. It is ten minutes walk to Chichester College and Institute. Click here for a map of Chichester town centre.
We are ideally located for overseas tourists flying in to England and for visitors who are returning from European tours:
Portsmouth cross channel ferries (18 miles), are approximately half an hour's drive from Chichester.
Heathrow and Gatwick (42 miles) are approximately one hour's drive.
Dover/Eurotunnel (not so close at 110 miles) is however readily accessible by motorway
There is a direct train from Gatwick to Chichester.

there is a wealth of festivals around this area; Chichester, Petworth and Arundel host summer music and drama festivals .
sports include historic motor racing at the Festival of Speed in June and the revival of the Goodwood motor circuit in September 1998: horse racing on top of the South Downs at Goodwood Racecourse from May to September, polo at Cowdray Park, as well as sailing, windsurfing and plenty of golf courses
