Mimsbrook Farm Guesthouse is a Bed and Breakfast situated just 30 minutes out of both the city of Perth and the historic port city of Fremantle. Mimsbrook offers traditional and self contained accommodation in a truly magnificent rural setting on the fringe of the city and the Perth Hills.
The sharp contrast between the hot summer days, and the invigorating winter days is here to enjoy. Your complete comfort is assured with air-conditioning in the hot weather, and in the cold weather you will be warm and cosy, both in your suite, or relaxing in our conservatory watching the ducks and geese and many native birds living in harmony on the lake.

Garden Spa Suite
The Garden Spa Suite consists of two separate fully self contained units, the Garden Studio and Garden Room.
This is ideal for long stays, or families and couples travelling together. They can be used separately or together via an adjoining door. Rates include continental breakfast and complimentary champagne and chocolates.

Garden Studio
The Garden studio, also ideal for longer stays, is set on the edge of the orange grove and is self contained and air conditioned with a full kitchen including microwave, stove, oven and large fridge.
The Garden Studio has a spacious lounge and sitting area with TV / Video, Stereo, King size and double sofa beds and a private courtyard with BBQ.
This studio is also a favourite with the romantics.

Garden Room
The Garden Room is tastefully decorated and features a king size bed that can convert into two king singles.
TV/Video, radio, reverse cycle air conditioner are all fitted for your comfort.
The Garden Room has a kitchenette that includes microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and fry pan.
The Garden Room is self contained with its own bathroom.

Heron Room
The Heron Suite is ideal for honeymooners or that romantic getaway.
It features a comfortable separate sitting room with views over the lake.
The bed is Kingsize for your comfort.
Tariff for two includes continental breakfast, fresh fruit, complimentary champagne and chocolates.
The Heron room has TV/Video, Stereo, Fridge, Individual reverse cycle air conditioner.
The spacious ensuite has a luxurious 2-person spa and direct access to the solar heated pool and outdoor spa area set in the beautiful gardens. BBQ available.

Kingfisher Suite
The Kingfisher Suite features a large Queen-sized bedroom beautifully decorated, and single sofa bed overlooking the lake and the water birds.
TV/Video, Fridge, Tea & Coffee making facilities.
Tariff per night for two includes continental breakfast, fresh fruit, complimentary champagne and chocolates.
The charming ensuite has a large 1916 antique claw foot bath, and separate courtyard shower, with direct access to the solar heated outdoor pool and spa area set in the beautiful gardens. BBQ available.

Location

Arriving at the airport? From the Domestic and International Airports, Mimsbrook Farm Guest House, at Darling Downs, is about 25 minutes by car South along the Tonkin Highway then turn left to the South Western Highway. Eleventh Road is on your right a few minutes drive beyond Armadale

If you are coming from Perth follow the Albany Highway then take the South Western Highway from Armadale (see map)

Activities

Experience the peaceful atmosphere of this unique 12-acre property. Just as the birds and animals live here in 'paradise' you too will relax and tune in to the beauty of the natural surroundings.

We are also only 15 minutes drive from the Araluen Country Club which is a first class establishment, with a world class 18 hole golf course.

A visit to the nearby wildlife parks is a must. Koalas, Kangaroos, Emus, Wallabies and other Australian wildlife.

You will marvel at the abundance of bird varieties living in our (their) trees so close to the city (only 30mins from Perth and Fremantle). You may even spot the shy Sacred Kingfisher near the brook when the adult pair return every year to rear their young.

Choose to sleep late, or for the more energetic guest, the area abounds with beautiful bush walks - at sunset the hills turn a soft pink and, if you are lucky enough to stay when it is time for the full moon to rise over the hills, you will find it breathtaking.

Other Attractions

Drive to the historic port of Fremantle and relax at one of the many cafes and restaurants or visit the old jail for a slice of local history

Take a ferry to Rottnest Island from the city or Fremantle for a great days swimming, fishing, cycling or walking. Make sure you see the Quokkas - a small kangaroo like marsupial

Go to a Cricket match at the WACA ground or a game of Australian Rules AFL FOOTBALL at Subiaco or the WACA.

Drive through the scenic Perth Hills region or if you want great wines head south to the Margaret River region. Visit the town of York and the Swan Valley wine region a short drive from us. Ask Carmel for assistance in planning your touring itinerary
