There is the choice of two self-contained cottages, the "Chardonnay" and "Cabernet" Set in two acres of beautiful gardens, Silverstream offers peace, tranquility and a welcome escape from the pressures of the hectic city lifestyle.

The Chardonnay Cottage
The Chardonnay offers a refreshing, calm and intimate atmosphere for you to enjoy.
The luxury bed linen television/DVD player, cosy log fire, romantic spa bath and total self-contained privacy will ensure you enjoy that special weekend away.
You won't want to leave once you have discovered the feeling of total peace and tranquility that comes from a stay at Silverstream B&B Cottages. Our cottages are suited to couples.
Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen with microwave oven, bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, and of course, reverse-cycle airconditioning and electric blankets.
Mid-week specials are available.
All rates include a breakfast basket, a cooked breakfast can be arranged on request. |

The Gardens
Silverstream is a two acre english style country garden with lots of colour for much of the year.
Everchanging seasons provide an all year round haven for the abundant native bird life that have made the garden their home. A pretty stream meanders through the property providing a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the calming effect that running water can have.
The cottages have been placed to capture the full winter sun and enjoy their own individual views of the garden and surrounding mountains.
The gardens are featured once a year in the Districts Open Garden Weekend.
This year it is on 22nd and 23rd October.
Since opening in April 2005 many couples have enjoyed a stay with us. Some of the comments have been:

- The most relaxing time we have spent together in a long time.

Location:
Silverstream Cottages are at 1 Mareeba Avenue in Buxton.
Directions:
Travelling to Silverstream from Melbourne, take the Maroondah Highway (Route 34 / B360) out through Lilydale to Healesville.
Leaving the Yarra Valley behind you will continue up through the Black Spur, (a beautiful drive through stands of tall mountain ash).
Travel through Narbethong and on to Buxton. Past the Caltex petrol station, over the Little Steavenson River, turn left into Mareeba Avenue.
Silverstream Cottages is the first property on your left. |

(Please note: 2 night bookings are preferred on the weekend and the property is not suitable for children or pets).
Deposit and Cancellation Policy:
A deposit of 50% of total booking is required and the balance payable on arrival.
A minimum of ten days notice of cancellation is required to obtain a full refund of deposit.
Payment:
We accept cheque, money order or direct deposit.

Centrally located we are close to the Cathedral Range with its spectacular views and varied walks.
Minutes walk to local Hotel, General Store and Coffee shop, Buxton trout and Salmon farm, or the spectaular spot called the meeting of the waters.
There are tennis courts opposite the property and the area is suitable for bicycle riding or forest walks.
Buxton has much to offer the traveller, it is also in close proximity to the nearby towns of Marysville, Taggerty Alexandra and Narbethong.
Marysville with its many and varied restaurants is a short trip along a very picturesque country road. Also Lake Mountain, famous for its winter cross country skiing and summer bushwalking. |
