Activities

Phillip Island is a jewel of an island set in beautiful Westernport Bay. It is a thriving seaside and rural community of 6000 residents who share this unique natural attraction with visitors and tourists 365 days a year. Surrounded by pristine beaches, there are endless activities to fill the day, swim, fish, surf, sail or simply marvel at the abundant rock-pools.
Every evening you can see the fairy penguins who magically appear at dusk and parade along the beach to nest. Phillip Island is also home to one of the largest fur seal colonies in the Southern Hemisphere.
Take in a nature walk or hire a bike to explore the island at your own pace.
The Island's koalas have their own special enclosure where viewing can be made from specially built boardwalks. There are also vast numbers of seabirds and other native birds to be seen.  Elsewhere wallabies and echidnas can be seen in the grassy scrublands.

Special Attractions

The ever popular Nobbies and Seal Rocks on the south eastern tip of Phillip Island possess a new ultra-modern Tourist Centre with films, auditory cassette guides and telescopes, and the chance to get a close-up view of the seals in their natural habitat
Other attractions include a Bay Connections Cruise from Cowes to Seal Rocks to see these fabulous creatures in their natural habitat. This is a 'must do' and is an unforgettable few hours.

Boyles at The Castle is a cosy romantic restaurant with meals created by master chef, Authur Lon. Recommended by 'The Age Good Food Guide'.
