The Nook is a traditional Bed and Breakfast in the Dandenong Ranges 50 minutes east of Melbourne, Victoria. Bellbirds chime a welcome to "beautiful Lakeside Drive". The picturesque setting and all pervading sense of tranquility create the theme. Your host, Jane Everitt, will make you most welcome.

Accommodation :

Two private and spacious double suites where everything is on hand for the comfort of guests.

Private entrance, en suite bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities, TV, electric blankets, central heating and refrigerator..

Continental breakfast is served, with home made fare in the dining room.

The delightful cottage gardens feature Rhododendrons, Camellias and Maples.

Location

The Nook is at Emerald in the magnificent forest region of the Dandenong Ranges only one hours drive east from Melbourne the Capital City of Victoria.

The Nook nestles beside a placid tree-lined lake, the haunt of duck, geese and platypus. Native birds abound and will surely delight the bird lover.

The Puffing Billy steam train, a premier tourist attraction runs through emerald station 5 minutes from The Nook.

Guests may choose to stroll along the country lanes or through the magnificent rainforest.

Picnic at the lake nearby or relax and enjoy the ambience of our quiet and restful haven.

The Emerald Golf Club and tennis courts are close at hand for the sporting enthusiasts.

Emerald is the home of the veteran Steam Train PUFFING BILLY, a premier tourist attraction. It's just 5 minutes from "THE NOOK". See the spectacular views of Melbourne from Mt Dandenong and visit the local wineries, tearooms and local craft galleries. Take a short drive to the Rhododendron and Tulip farms in season or visit the world famous Healesville Sanctuary and see many species of Australian wildlife in a natural bush setting.
